Blinking, Flickering and Moving Content
Web users generally ignore blinking, flickering and moving content because of its irritability. Also, displays that flicker or flash can cause photosensitive epileptic seizures.
Enhance usability by:
- giving users the option of turning off movement by using style sheets with scripting to create movement
- minimizing the area of the screen that is flashing; this will reduce the possibility of seizures in users
- not displaying high intensity flashing content
- creating Web pages that do not auto-refresh every minute!
